Integral Molecular was founded in 2001 and operates from the University City Science Center Research Park in Philadelphia. The founding of Integral Molecular stems from research conducted at the University of Pennsylvania from 1997 to 2000 that resulted in manuscripts published in the journals Science, PNAS, and Journal of Virology. Integral has been working with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic customers and collaborators since its founding, providing membrane protein-related products and services that advance its customers’ scientific objectives. Integral’s laboratories are well-equipped for a range of traditional and advanced membrane protein analyses. Integral has ongoing internal programs in the fields of infectious and inflammatory diseases.
Integral Molecular is a privately funded biotechnology company. Many of Integral’s research activities have been validated by peer-review and are supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Integral Molecular owns intellectual property rights covering all aspects of its technologies, including core patents licensed exclusively from the University of Pennsylvania.
